A general explanation from ZonMw about this approach can be found here: https://www.zonmw.nl/nl/fair-metadata-en-data-onderzoeksprojecten .
Please mind that this page explains how to add your metadata to Cedar in order to get it onto the Covid Portal. For specific questions on the use of Cedar itself, please refer to: https://more.metadatacenter.org/tools-training/support

The Project Admin
template should be filled in first, it contains basic information about the project. After the form is saved copy the link from the address bar of your browser. The middle part of the link, between /createedit
and ?folderId=
, is your Admin template’s template instance’s id: copy it (e.g. to a text editor) and keep it till all the templates template instances for the project are filled (you’ll need to refer to it later on, see below).
...
The next template to fill in is Project Content

How to delete a project in the COVID-19 portal
To safely delete a project from the COVID-19 portal
Go to the corresponding Cedar Project Admin template instance page (you can navigate there from the project page in the portal “CEDAR admin project ID”)
Add "TEST-" before the project title and save, e.g.:
Wait up to 15 min. Once in 15 minutes an automatic job runs and updates projects in the COVID-19 portal. All the projects with titles starting with “TEST-“ are removed.
Make sure the project is deleted from the portal, now corresponding Cedar template instances can be deleted.
FAQ

Make sure that all the documents that you want to transfer are in a separate folder.
For each artifact:
Open the context menu.
Open “Share…”
In the “With people” section, in the text field which says “enter user name” start entering the other person’s name. Once the name shows up, click on it.
Next to this field, in the dropdown select “owner”.
Click on the “OK” below the name.
On the right you will see that the owner has been changed.
You can close this dialog now.
Once all the artifacts are transferred to the other person, share the enclosing folder with write capabilities with the other person.
The other person should log into CEDAR, and click the “Shared with Me” in the left menu.
Locate the folder that was shared with you. Inside of it there will be the artifacts that now belong to you.
For each of them, open the context menu, and using the “Move to…” dialog, move the artifact to a folder under your home directory.
