Architecture

This article describes the foundation under the National Health Data Infrastructure agreements for research, policy and Innovation. This foundation is located within the health data infrastructure landscape and should therefore be consistent with other initiatives. That is why we describe here what the architecture for a complete health data infrastructure looks like, with the specific translation to the health data infrastructure architecture for research and innovation.

From the summer of 2022, a pragmatic working group was created from the obstacle removal trajectory with participants from VWS, ZN, VZVZ, Nictiz, IHE, NFU/AcZie, TWIIN and Health-RI, which worked on the joint health data architecture model, based on the narrative “ Each relevant health data point and the associated context are available to any authorized person within specified conditions of use.”

The joint health data architecture model is then further specified for research and innovation, or the Health-RI architecture model for research, policy and innovation.

The article Disclose healthcare data describes how data platforms play a role in making healthcare data available for research, policy and innovation, using the CumuluZ concept as an example.
