This article describes the layout of application components. There is a distinction between abstract and concrete application components. Abstract means ‘general and generic’, while concrete means ‘specific’. This distinction is perhaps best illustrated with an example: MS Word in a concrete application component of the abstract application component ‘Word Processing System’ (or Word Processor). |
