Scenario RUMC: Onboarding PRISMA

The process described below is subject to change

Introduction

PRISMA: Personalised RISk-based MAmmascreening

Aim: Assess whether introduction of risk-based screening in the Netherlands would improve balance between benefits and harms of breast cancer screening

Data collection between 2014-2019:

  • 67,000 (un)processed mammograms

  • 38,000 health questionnaires

  • 10,100 blood samples

  • 600 saliva samples

  • Linked to Dutch Cancer Registry to identify breast cancer cases

Approach for onboarding

Initially, the aim will be to make the Core metadata for PRISMA available in the National Catalogue. Further steps will depend on both the FAIRification objectives of PRISMA and the plateau planning. For example, in plateau 2 the metadata will be extended beyond the Core schema and PRISMA could thus add the additional metadata in the future. As such, the PRISMA use case will be revisited in the upcoming years.

If possible, we should refer to existing general scenarios.

Step 1 Make PRISMA Findable in in the National Catalogue - Core
